Due to the particularity of the environment in which small drones are infested, people are more inclined to use laser weapons and microwave weapons. Generally speaking, laser weapons use instantaneous high energy to destroy drones. The American vehicle-mounted laser weapon system and the Israeli "Iron Beam (Iron Beam) anti-UAV system are such products.

The laser weapon system has many advantages, such as outstanding controllability, high precision, and low cost. However, the current laser weapon technology is not yet mature, and difficulties such as stability, effective range, and miniaturization need to be resolved. Compared with laser weapons, microwave weapons are suitable for dealing with drone swarms. High-power microwave weapons can be launched in a short period of time (a few milliseconds), quickly clearing a group of drones within a certain range.
