Wireless signal jammers can be roughly divided into three levels according to their power. One is the low-power type, that is, the transmit power of each shielding module is below 2-3W. The second is the medium power type, that is, the transmit power of the shielded module is 10-20W. The third is the high-power type, that is, the transmit power of the shielded module reaches 50W or even 100W. Different application environments can correspond to different power levels of shielders.

High-power wireless signal jammers are typically used in outdoor open areas and larger open areas, while low-power types are used in indoor environments. If you choose the opposite way and install the low-power version outdoors, this is rare and can only be done in special circumstances. In most cases, when a low-power network jammer is installed outdoors, its effective shielding range is only 2-5 meters, after all, its transmit power is relatively low.

The actual shielding range of the jammer is closely related to the strength of the mobile phone signal on site. The stronger the mobile phone signal, the shorter the effective shielding distance. The signal strength of mobile phones in outdoor environments is generally at least 10dB higher than in indoor environments, which is why some low-power jammers can effectively block distances of more than 10 meters when used indoors. However, when tested outdoors, it will be found that the shielding distance is shortened. When installed and used outdoors, the shielding distance of the low-power type is only 2-3 meters.

In the actual use environment of wireless signal jammers, there may be dozens of channels with different characteristics in the same environment for the user's mobile phone to automatically select. At the same time, there are spatial field strength differences indoors and outdoors, and signals shielded by the ground and metal objects will cause complex adverse effects. At this time, the jammer reflects different shielding effects. The on-site survey is to confirm the signal field strength environment of various signal frequencies in the area that needs to be shielded, understand the actual requirements of the customer, select a shielder with corresponding power, and improve the working frequency band through a series of instrument measurements.
