Why is 4g displayed on my 5g mobile phone?
There are generally two reasons for using a 5G mobile phone to display a 4G network. First, because the current location is not within the coverage of the 5G signal, even if you use a 5G mobile phone and a 5G mobile phone card, the mobile phone will still display the 4G network; second, the 5G network switch of the mobile phone may not be turned on.
This article uses iPhone 12; iOS 14.4 as a case to explain.
Reason 1: Not within 5G network coverage
1. When you are outside the coverage of the 5G network, even if you are using a 5G mobile phone and a 5G mobile phone card, the mobile phone will still display 4G.
2. You can log in to the operator's official website to view the local 5G network coverage, and move to the coverage area to display 5G.
Reason two: the phone does not turn on the 5G switch
1. Turn on the phone and go to [Settings]-[Cellular Network]-[Cellular Data Options]-[Voice and Data].
2. Select [Enable 5G].
